On the 2nd March 2019, Edward arrived on the scene. Now with a new baby, comes many new challenges, but also new opportunities.
We now have a 3rd person to share our adventures with.
So over the sleep deprived first few months of Parenthood, we devised a plan.We were always going to split the maternity leave, being part of the 3% of british couples that take shared parental leave. Cat would return to work early and Adam would become the primary care giver to little Eddie.
So we asked ourselves:
Why shouldn’t we overlap out time off?
Why can’t we use that time for a family holiday?
Why can’t we look after Eddie in a van?
Why can’t we travel away from the UK?
We thought about it, and there was no reason why we couldn’t do any of these things. So, he flies for free (or minimal cost as it turns out) and it’s only going to get more difficult and more expensive to go away, so let’s go all the way.
New Zealand.
Oh Cat and Adam, what super photos. We hoped you were having a great time and by golly you are! You have certainly done such a lot already and seen great sights. Eddie looks very happy 😃 pity he won’t remember it all. Love from us both. Granny and Grandpa x
