Home is where you park it

We thought it was worth a little introduction to our home, as we are both pretty proud of this creation. Meet the Cadavan. It started life as a minibus before we got hold of it in 2019 and began our conversion.

We made just a couple of modifications: Stripped, insulated, solar panel added, leisure batteries added, swivel seat for the front passenger to create a louge concept, rock n roll bed in the rear to give us a double bed and x2 rear belted seats, x2 shelves in the back for stuff / sleepy children, long kitchen unit with double gas hob and sink, wine rack, compressor fridge, a custom pegboard & many fancy lights.

We use the Cadavan all the time. From camping out in the carparks of fancy hotels at weddings, to cooking christmas dinners in Peak District car parks, #Vanlife suits our lack of planning style and give us a go-anywhere ability that has only proved more useful with the addtion of 1, and then 2 small people. Our van lives “Adventure ready” on our drive, so that a mid-week camp out is only a quick task of packing some spare pants and off you go!
