Vienna to Bratislava- and back again!

Getting keen on this cycling idea, we decided both of us would quite like a cycle along the Danube. We were less bothered about seeing the city of Vienna than Bratislava too- so Adam hopped on his bike in the morning and off he went! Eddie cycled the first 10k along an island between old and new Danube to a nice splash park where Cat and Sammy came for a play and an ice cream before picking Eddie up to head to meet Adam in Slovakia!

We met Adam in a brewery on a boat in the Danube in Bratislava looking very pleased with himself and just a little bit achey. Beer and some traditional slovakian dumplings with goats cheese and bacon fuelled late night exploring the city, with some yummy traditional cakes in the main square.

We woke up in the morning to go back into town for a wander around the very impressive castle giving epic views over the city, before Eddie and Cat set off to cycle back towards Vienna, and Eddie made it just over the border before tapping out to get picked up by Adam to explore Devín Castle while Cat pedalled off back to Vienna to await collection in a Biergarten.

Classic example of a slightly daft idea that you can actually do. With kiddos involved you can still do these things, just takes a lot more faff and a bit more time!
