Croatia- Krka national park

Post Zadar and Nin, we decided we needed some out-of-town wandering. Krka National Park is between Zadar and our next planned city stop, Split, so seemed perfect.

Boat ride and beer 🙂

We camped in a nearby lay-by ready to head to the Skradin entrance first thing in the morning. We got our tickets and caught the park boat up the river to the waterfalls stop.

We wandered along the bridges and paths (along with what felt like every other tourist in Croatia!) Admiring the falls and explored a few old Mills and an old hydroelectric power plant.

After doing most of the main tourist route we escaped the crowds to go to an extra viewpoint of the upper lakes that we saw on the map before rejoining the hoardes to get the boat back to Skradin.

Yay fishes!

Skradin offered a perfect finish to the day in the form of ÄŤhevapi and fries at the playpark then a quick dip at the beach (also with playpark complete with friends to Eddie’s great amusement) before we went for a sleepy drive to a service station with epic views for the night.
